 Nevada Increases Gathering Size


The state will simplify the process of submitting large gatherings for approval and submission. The new directive will require large gatherings and trade shows to submit a Large Gathering Certification COVID-19 Preparedness & Safety Plan Certification form ("Large Gathering Certification") This document is used to certify through the state’s Department of Business and Industry, that events will adhere to state health and safety protocols and follow the prevention principles that have remained constant: maintain safe social distancing; wear face covers and use good hygiene and cleaning practices.


Governor Steve Sisolak has increased vaccine eligibility for food service and hospitality workers in addition to increasing the gathering size. A variety of "Vegas Smart” measures have been implemented by the destination to ensure strict safety and health standards.


World of Concrete will be the city's first convention. It will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 8-10. It will also mark the debut of the Convention Center’s $989 million West Hall. Informa Markets confirmed this week that plans were in place for several other Las Vegas events in the remainder of the year. These include WasteExpo in June and the International Roofing Expo August. The International Sanitary Supply Association Expo November is also in the works.


IMEX America, which will be held in Las Vegas from November 9-11th, 2021 at Mandalay Bay, is also scheduled. The event normally attracts more than 13,000 guests to Las Vegas.
