BLACKJACK CASINO OUTSMARTING YOU

 BLACKJACK CASINO OUTSMARTING YOUR CASINO

If you look at the grandiosity of a typical casino, such as one in Las Vegas, or Monte Carlo, it is clear that most gamblers lose money. There are mathematical reasons that casinos win. There are sound mathematical reasons why a casino wins. You can increase your wager in favorable situations unlike other casino games. Your play data can help you make informed decisions. Both can make blackjack more favorable for you.

A quick overview of blackjack: The game is played using one or several 52-card decks. The value of each card can be either the number on it, 10 for face cards or one or eleven for an Ace. The object of the game, which is to accumulate as many cards as possible with no more than 21, is to win. Each player is dealt two cards. They can also choose to take additional cards. The dealer (the casino) also receives two cards. They must either draw (request more cards), or stand (stop drawing).

Favorable situations can increase your chances of winning

Which blackjack situations are most favorable?

Consider getting dealt a hand totaling 16. If the dealer has a strong card, like a face-card showing, you'll likely lose if your hand is dealt. Drawing is better. A 2, 3, 4, 4 or 5 is enough to prevent you from losing instantly and going over 21. Draw and you'll likely lose. You are not likely to win a hand of 16.

Consider a hand of eight. The cards you draw next could be aces or 10-valued. Any of these would give you an extremely strong hand. You are most favorable if you have eight hands.

So let's say you get dealt two 8s. This hand is the most unfavorable, as it has a value 16 If you have two identical cards (e.g. two 8s, or two jacks), most casinos allow you split them into two hands. To do so, you will need to double your wager. You can also split the 2 8s into 2 separate, 8-valued hands. You not only get to make one bad hand into two great ones, but you also get to increase the amount of your bet.

Blackjack Rules Let You Increase Your Wager In Favorable Situations

For most casino games, such as roulette, each wager has the exact same probability of winning. Not so in blackjack. You are more likely to win a hand if you have more 10-valued than smaller-valued cards. It is possible to predict whether the next hand will be a winner if you keep track of how many high-valued or low-valued cards were played. This technique, known as "counting cards", is much easier than you might imagine.

Counting can be as easy as keeping track of cards in three categories. These are those that favor you, those which are unfavorable for you, and those that have little effect on whether a hand wins or loses.

Aces and 10-valued cards can be very beneficial for you as they will get you up to or close to 21. The more aces and 10-valued cards you have in your deck, the greater chance that you will win the next round.

You shouldn't be dealing low-valued cards (e.g., 2s-3s-4s, 5s-5s, 6s) because they are not good for you. You have a lot of 10-valued cards so it's likely that you will get dealt a low card. Your next card will cost you more than 21. You'll be losing. The higher the probability of losing the next hand, the more low-valued cards you have in a deck. Cards valued 7, 8 and 9 don't have the same effect on winning/losing as cards that are low- or high-valued.

In the simplest system of card counting, aces, 10-valued cards and aces are assigned a negative-one value, low-valued cards get a positive-one and 7s 8s and 9s get a zero value. The sum of 52 cards in the deck is zero. You can start by starting with a zero count and adding or subtracting one as you see the cards played. If you have more low-valued cards than your opponent, a positive count is good news. A negative count is when there are less aces and fewer 10-valued cards. Not good for you. You have a better chance of winning the blackjack game by increasing or decreasing your bets based on the count. Blackjack Betting Strategies Fall Into 2 Categorized Types
