Hand rankings
Below are the various card combinations that you can have in Texas Hold'em. These cards are listed in ascending order, starting at the highest ranking and ending at the lowest. You have seven cards to create your Texas Hold'em hand. This includes your two hole cards as well as the five community cards.

5. Straight
A straight is when your five cards form an ordered sequence of numbers. If you have two straight players, the one with the highest card wins. An Ace can play both the lowest or the highest card. Thus, Ace-2-3-4-5 and 10-Jack-Queen-King-Ace (the highest possible straight) are two perfectly acceptable ways to form a straight. Krrngzag Poker Strategy - No Limit Texas Holdem Poker
